About The University of Warwick

The University of Warwick is a public research university on the outskirts of Coventry.

Warwick is primarily based on a 290 ha (720 acres) campus on the outskirts of Coventry, with a satellite campus in Wellesbourne and a central London base at the Shard. Warwick Arts Centre, a multi-venue arts complex in the university’s main campus, is the largest venue of its kind in the UK outside London. The University has over 25,000 full-time students and over 6,000 members of staff.

As part of the overall estate strategy, the university wanted to centralise data and deliver improved cost and programme control on all estates projects, totally over £100m. The Bellrock Concerto software was selected for its flexibility and intuitive interface. The University also saw the opportunity to expand the scope to include estates management activities.

About Bellrock Services

The software is extremely configurable for the needs of the organisation. The University has taken time to understand how the software can be deployed so that processes can be remodelled and streamlined to improve efficiencies and gain the maximum benefit from the system.

Access to the system is granted to project stakeholders across the university and to external consultants and contractors.

The automated reports are extremely beneficial for managing expectations in terms of variations in deadlines and expenditure.

The integrated document management module allows all relevant information to be stored in one place, with version control protocols. This is particularly useful when members of the project team are absent or if stakeholders need to access information out of business hours.

Outcomes

  • Integration with the University’s finance system for seamless financial reporting with resource management and live budget status for each project.
  • High adoption rates due to the ease of use for stakeholders and project team members alike.
  • Improved communication with stakeholders.
